Myths are seen in history, art, books, and many other
places.
Symbols from myths may be used in society today, like a
shield being
used as a part of UPS's official logo. Greek and Roman
symbols are used to represent things,
such as Athena's olive branch representing peace. Also, language today
has words that evolved from the Greek and Latin languages that can be
traced through myths. For example, the word "panic" comes from the Greek
god Pan. There are many ways myths influence how modern people think and act.
